Field Music

FIELD MUSIC, Sunderland's Peter and David Brewis, have released one of 2010's most celebrated albums, the 20 track double disc affair "Field Music (Measure)". It's Field Music's most ambitious album to date and has established the Brothers Brewis in the major league of rock n' pop's adventurous leftfield. 7th June sees the release of "Let's Write A Book" the second single to be drawn from "Field Music (Measure)". Younger brother David takes the lead with an inspired and surprising Northern funk work out, lyrically a call to arms for the perpetually apologetic and surely the most un-Field Music of Field Music songs yet.

The band (swelled to a 4 piece live with friends Kev Dosdale on guitar and Ian Black on bass) will be touring around the UK from May onwards and will be making an appearance at a selection of festivals across the summer and beyond, including being selected by Richard Thompson for Meltdown, headlining at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and handpicked by Belle and Sebastian for their Bowlie 2 ATP event in December.

Gomez

From the band: Gomez will be returning to Europe for a three-week tour that will include a series of festival and headlining dates in a total of eight countries. We will be kicking off the band's most extensive European tour in years with a weekend of dates in the UK, including festival appearances at Hyde Park for Hard Rock Calling on June 25th and a return to Glastonbury on June 27th.

We will mix things up when we hit the continent, headlining shows in Holland, Zurich and Barcelona and joining stellar lineups at Arras, Rock Werchter and Heineken Jammin' in Venice to name a few.

On May 20th in Manchester, England, an unusual, perhaps never-to-be-repeated event is going to occur.

Tom Gray, our erstwhile multi-instrumentalist, is to perform his first ever completely SOLO show! He's playing Gomez songs (cos he doesn't know any others). Entertainment! The show will take place at MoHo Live in Manchester, May 20th. Witness this once (or twice) in a lifetime event.
